Motorised Trolley Castors at Esselte Leitz

At first glance, the idea put forward by our customer Esselte Leitz to dispose of industrial trucks almost entirely in the warehouse seemed like quite a daring task.

At second glance, things looked a little different. That’s because the multi-shelf trolleys which are used for picking the goods were equipped with our TENTE E-Drive flex electric drive system. The intelligent solution allows employees to effortlessly transport more goods, which not only improves productivity, but also reduces walking distances – by as much as 80 percent.

Optimised processes, reduced costs and increased productivity

With the new order picking concept, Esselte Leitz’s employees now have far fewer travel distances to cover during their work – 80 percent less, to be precise. The reduced use of industrial trucks also means that the company saves on repair, maintenance and training costs. Moreover, the highly efficient batteries of the E-Drive flex system drastically reduce power consumption. Thanks to the perfect combination of our trolley castor solution with the order picking trolleys, we were able not only to improve mobility, but also to optimise the entire work process, reduce operating costs and significantly increase productivity.
