A long-standing relationship becomes a strategic partnership – with a new caster concept
The visit of Stefan Fröhlingsdorf, TENTE Group Manager Global Markets, to his close business partner Fernando García Pérez, CEO of Marsanz, at EuroShop 2026 in Düsseldorf was marked by great cordiality. Personal exchange is a central element of the long-standing collaboration between both companies.
For more than 30 years, Marsanz, the internationally established Spanish manufacturer of shopping and store equipment systems, has relied on mobility solutions from TENTE. Levina smart: A solution by TENTE
At EuroShop 2026, Marsanz and TENTE presented themselves jointly to the public. At its exhibition stand, Marsanz showcased new shopping trolleys equipped with the Levina smart polymer caster from TENTE. The world’s leading retail trade fair provided the ideal setting for the premiere of this joint project.
In this interview, Fernando García Pérez, CEO of Marsanz, speaks about the importance of choosing the right caster, focusing on customer experience rather than price pressure, and why the partnership with TENTE is strategically decisive for Marsanz.
Interview with Fernando García Pérez, CEO of Marsanz at EuroShop 2026
Fernando García Pérez:
We are a company with more than 60 years of experience. This experience is reflected in the way we solve challenges. Our products are built on solid expertise – we know what truly matters.
To ensure that our know-how keeps pace with changing market requirements, we invest continuously. Through extensive research and further development, we have specifically adapted our production processes to the needs of the market.
I am very pleased to see that both our long-standing customers and new customers we reach with our approach recognize this difference. They trust us – and they trust our products.
Fernando García Pérez:
Choosing the right castor is essential for us because it directly impacts reliability, durability, and ultimately the customer experience. That is why we specifically looked for a partner who shares the same quality standards – and with TENTE, we found the right solution for our requirements.
When speaking with our customers, price is not our starting point. We begin by understanding their needs and the desired shopping experience. Based on that, we adapt our products to deliver the optimal solution.
Customers with a strong focus on customer experience – for example Lidl – immediately understood why our new shopping trolley concept in combination with Levina smart needs to be designed exactly this way.
We do not want to compete on price alone, but on quality and long-term added value. This is precisely where Levina smart, in interaction with our products, makes the difference – through performance that convinces over the long term.
Fernando García Pérez:
We all operate under time pressure. Everyday life is characterized by speed and strain. If products help reduce noise, minimize stress, and move smoothly and comfortably, that has a noticeable impact.
However, retailers do not only consider the shopping experience. Operational processes also play a key role. Maintenance and servicing are becoming increasingly important.
A solution such as Levina smart, which protects against damage and reduces wear, opens up new opportunities especially for large retail companies to increase efficiency and sustainably improve operational performance.
Fernando García Pérez:
We work every day to further develop ourselves in all areas. For this, we need partners with deep expertise in the key components of a shopping trolley – especially the casters. That is exactly why TENTE is such a good fit for us and why this collaboration is of great importance to us.
The advantages of such a partnership are clearly measurable: smoother running, lower noise levels, less wear, and fewer issues throughout the entire service life. Both the retailer and the end customer benefit from this.
This is not a pure supplier relationship, but genuine collaboration. Together, we can develop better solutions.
We learn a great deal from TENTE – and at the same time, we can contribute to an even better understanding of the requirements of our market and the practical challenges in the use of shopping trolleys. Strategically, this partnership is therefore of central importance to us.
