The Omikron twin swivel castor is a heavy-duty mobility solution engineered for demanding industrial applications including airport equipment and AGV systems. The castor is mounted via an extra large rectangular heavy-duty plate fitting, which provides robust attachment and distributes loads effectively across mounting surfaces. The housing is constructed from heavy forged iron, incorporating a deep-groove ball thrust roller bearing that enables smooth, reliable swivel rotation and accommodates multi-directional movement with minimal friction. The wheel assembly features a 500 mm diameter design with a sheet steel heavy body that provides structural integrity and durability under sustained operational stress. The wheel tread is manufactured from PUR casted premium material, delivering excellent wear resistance, grip characteristics, and longevity in demanding environments. Precision ball bearings are integrated within the wheel assembly to ensure smooth rotation and reduce maintenance requirements. The overall height of the castor is 610 mm, which must be considered during installation and integration into equipment systems.
