The wheel assembly comprises a 100 mm diameter wheel with a polypropylene body and thermoplastic rubber tread, delivering optimal grip and floor protection whilst minimising noise during operation. The plain bearing system supports smooth wheel rotation and contributes to the castor's overall reliability in continuous-use applications. With an overall height of 139 mm, the Galea swivel castor integrates seamlessly into compact equipment designs whilst maintaining adequate ground clearance. The castor demonstrates impressive load-bearing capabilities, supporting a static load capacity of 200 kg and a dynamic load capacity of 100 kg at speeds up to 3 km/h, making it suitable for care beds, catering carts and meal delivery systems, and shower chairs where dependable performance and safety are paramount requirements.
