The Galea swivel castor with directional lock features a rectangular plate fitting with US-bolt hole spacing for secure mounting applications. The housing is constructed from durable polyamide material and incorporates two ball races in the swivel bearing mechanism to ensure smooth directional movement and reliable locking functionality. The wheel assembly comprises a polypropylene body fitted with a solid rubber, non-marking tread that provides excellent floor protection and quiet operation, whilst the plain bearing system delivers consistent performance throughout the wheel's operational life. With an overall height of 163 mm and wheel diameter of 125 mm, this castor offers compact yet robust construction. The unit provides a dynamic load capacity of 80 kg at speeds up to 3 km/h and a static load capacity of 160 kg, making it ideally suited for demanding applications including care beds, catering carts and meal delivery systems, and shower chairs where manoeuvrability and reliability are essential.
