In German-speaking countries, the TV format “Die Sendung mit der Maus” (WDR) has enjoyed cult status for over 50 years. Millions of viewers – both children and adults – appreciate the clear and illustrative presentation of technical contexts.
An authentic look into the shop floor
A new episode of “Sendung mit der Maus” puts TENTE centerstage. More precisely: Our castor and wheel production in Wermelskirchen as well as the use of the innovative WeAssist system by TENTE and LINAK are featured under real conditions in a hospital.
TV filming at TENTE – hands-on innovation
For three days, the television team filmed at our plant in Wermelskirchen. The filming took place, among other areas, in our primary production area (sheet metal processing, turning shop, and plastic component production) and in assembly. It captured the manufacturing of Integral castors for hospital beds and our intelligent Integral assist castor for the WeAssist system.
WeAssist in clinical practice – the field test
Following the production footage, the field test was on the agenda: The film team accompanied a real patient transport in the hospital – from the shock room through the CT scan unit to the ward. Two versions were tested: one with conventional Integral castors and one with the WeAssist system.
The recordings impressively show, how WeAssist significantly reduces the necessary push and pull forces, supports the staff during changes of direction, and thus sustainably relieves the back and joints – a clear ergonomic advantage in everyday clinical practice.
