The Galea swivel castor with directional lock features a rectangular plate fitting for secure mounting applications. The housing is constructed from durable polyamide material and incorporates two ball races in the swivel bearing mechanism to ensure smooth directional movement and reliable locking functionality. The wheel assembly comprises a polypropylene body with electric conductive properties, fitted with a thermoplastic rubber tread that maintains electric-conductive characteristics for static discharge applications, whilst utilising a plain bearing system for consistent rotation. With a wheel diameter of 100mm, the castor has an overall height of 137mm. The unit provides a dynamic load capacity of 100kg at speeds up to 3km/h and a static load capacity of 200kg, making it suitable for care beds, catering carts and meal delivery systems, and shower chairs.
