The Galea swivel castor features a rectangular plate fitting for secure mounting applications. The housing is constructed from durable polyamide material and incorporates two ball races for the swivel bearing mechanism, ensuring smooth directional changes and enhanced manoeuvrability. The wheel assembly comprises a polypropylene body with solid rubber, non-marking tread material that provides excellent floor protection whilst maintaining reliable grip, supported by a plain bearing system for consistent rotation. The castor has a wheel diameter of 125 mm and an overall height of 159 mm, making it suitable for medium-duty applications. Load specifications include a dynamic capacity of 80 kg at speeds up to 3 km/h and a static load capacity of 160 kg. This castor is specifically designed for care beds, catering carts and meal delivery systems, and shower chairs where quiet operation and floor protection are essential requirements.
