These factors influence the running noise

Naturally, when using transport equipment, unpleasant running noise is undesirable. In order to find the quietest possible TENTE castors and wheels for your application, you should consider not only the quality of the castors and wheels, but also the hardness of the tread and the type of floor.

These factors influence the running noise

As a general rule, hard wheels are used for soft floors and soft wheels for hard floors. Soft treads tend to run more smoothly and produce less noise. Harder wheels can cause more running noise, especially in the event of shocks caused by uneven ground. On softer floors or at low loads, however, hard wheels also run with low noise emission and offer high running comfort.

In addition to wheels with hard and soft tyres, you can also obtain the TENTE hybrid wheel (HUR) from us. This wheel combines a hard polyamide tread with a soft rubber core. This enables us to offer you a hard yet noise-reduced wheel that can be used on both soft and hard surfaces.

Find suitable castors and wheels at TENTE

On our product pages, under the heading of technical data, you will find not only information on running characteristics, wear resistance and corrosion resistance but also a category entitled “running noise”. The scale shows you how the castors or wheels behave with regard to noise emissions under test conditions. A higher value means less running noise. If you have any questions about TENTE castors and wheels, or if you would like advice on various topics concerning the selection of suitable products, we will be happy to assist you.
