The Integral assist is a swivel castor with central, total or directional lock, specifically engineered for electromobility applications requiring reliable manoeuvrability and stability. This castor features a stem with cam hole for profile bars in short version, enabling seamless integration into medical and healthcare equipment. The wheel comprises a 150 mm diameter polyurethane tread that is casted for enhanced durability and consistent performance, whilst the body is constructed from steel and iron to ensure robust structural integrity. The Integral assist is ideally suited for deployment across diverse healthcare environments, including hospitals, nursing and retirement homes, where it supports critical applications such as anesthesia carts, medication carts, nursing carts, computer workstations on wheels, dialysis equipment, stretchers, ventilators, ultrasound systems, and imaging devices including C-Arms, CT scanners, MRI and X-Ray equipment. The directional lock mechanism provides operators with precise control, preventing unwanted movement whilst permitting smooth transitions between fixed and mobile positions, thereby enhancing both safety and operational efficiency in demanding clinical settings.
