The housing is constructed from polypropylene, a durable thermoplastic material that offers excellent chemical resistance and longevity, and incorporates a stem swiveling mechanism that enables smooth 360-degree rotation for enhanced manoeuvrability and directional control. The wheel assembly comprises a 50 mm diameter wheel with a thermoplastic rubber tread, which delivers superior grip and floor protection whilst minimising noise during operation, and is supported by a plain bearing with spacer tube that ensures smooth rolling performance and extended service life. The overall height of the castor measures 54 mm, making it suitable for integration into compact furniture designs where space constraints are a consideration. The load capacity specifications indicate a static load rating of 80 kg, permitting substantial weight support during stationary use, whilst the dynamic load capacity is rated at 40 kg when the castor is in motion at speeds up to 3 km/h, ensuring safe and reliable performance under typical operational conditions.
