The Galea swivel castor is a robust mobility solution engineered for demanding healthcare and catering environments, featuring a bolt hole fitting that ensures secure and straightforward installation onto equipment frames. The housing is constructed from polyamide, a durable engineering polymer that provides excellent chemical resistance and longevity, and incorporates two ball races within the swivel bearing assembly to enable smooth 360-degree rotation with minimal friction and wear. The wheel assembly comprises a 100 mm diameter wheel with a polypropylene body that offers lightweight performance whilst maintaining structural integrity, combined with a thermoplastic rubber tread that delivers superior grip and floor protection across various surfaces. With an overall height of 139 mm, the castor integrates seamlessly into compact equipment designs whilst maintaining adequate ground clearance for obstacle navigation. The load capacity specifications indicate a static load rating of 200 kg, permitting substantial weight support during stationary operation, and a dynamic load rating of 100 kg at speeds up to 3 km/h, ensuring safe manoeuvrability when transporting loaded equipment.
