Installing castors: Advice from the experts

When installing castors, it is important to ensure that the contact surface of the castor is in direct contact with the respective equipment. This is the only way to achieve maximum load capacity. This rule applies regardless of the type of fitting you choose. For screw fastenings, ensure that the screw is sufficiently strong (minimum strength class of 8.8 or comparable).

When tightening the screw connection, the special open-end wrench provided for this purpose must be used. It is essential that the spanner lies flush when tightening the screw, so that the entire spanner flat of the covering cap is used. The tightening torque must be at least 25 Nm. The minimum tightening torque applied must comply with the technical guidelines. Screw connections must be permanently secured by the user to prevent them from working loose on their own. The specified load capacities assume that the installation instructions given here are followed.
