Flanged Wheels
Wheel 250 mm
Hello! I'm ready to assist you using British English. How may I help you today? I'll make sure to use British spellings (like "colour" instead of "color", "realise" instead of "realize"), British terminology (like "lift" instead of "elevator", "biscuit" instead of "cookie"), and British expressions where appropriate. What would you like to discuss?

Frequently Asked Questions
Advantages of Flanged Wheels
Flanged wheels are engineered for guided travel on rails and profiled tracks, where lateral retention and repeatable positioning are critical. The integral flange provides side guidance that helps keep the wheel on track through curves and transitions, reducing de-tracking risk and limiting side loads at the hub. TENTE flanged wheels come with a variety of key advantages:
High Load Capacities – Our portfolio includes extra heavy duty polyamide wheels engineered for demanding industrial use. In combination with precision ball bearings, they support smooth running under load and repeatable positioning on guided routes.
Broad Operating Temperature – Depending on the configuration, our flanged wheels allow for reliable operation between -40 °C and 80 °C, enabling use in chilled areas and warmer industrial environments when the track interface is appropriately matched.
Engineered Fit – Flanged wheels can be custom-built on request to meet specific dimensional or interface needs (e.g., flange geometry, bore/hub details), ensuring proper engagement with the track.
Types of Flanged Wheels
TENTE offers distinct flanged-wheel series tailored to guided travel on rails and profiled tracks. The range spans extra-heavy-duty polyamide flanged wheels with precision ball bearings – available across multiple diameters, with custom builds for specific rail interfaces – as well as left/right flanged wheel variants for guided trolley systems where correct rail engagement and compact installation are key.
MMP Flanged Wheel
A heavy-duty rail-guidance wheel for industrial use. The MMP is a polyamide flanged wheel with precision ball bearings, available in Ø50–200 mm and rated up to 2,000 kg depending on size. It operates reliably from -40°C to +80 °C and can be custom-built (e.g., flange geometry, bore/hub) to match your rail profile and interface. Typical uses include guided transport on fixed rails where high load capacity, repeatable tracking, and dimensional stability are critical.
ZJJ Flanged Wheel
Our ZJJ flanged wheel is designed for guided trolley movement in track systems. The ZJJ features a flanged wheel with one ball race and is offered in left/right versions for correct rail engagement. This wheel is used in our Stora walkway castors with automatic side brakes. They use a housing made of heavy pressed steel and can be configured with different mounting options – plate, bolt hole and stem fittings. Stora walkway castors with the integrated flanged wheel are commonly used with a 160 mm wheel diameter, allowing for a load capacity of 160 kg per castor.
Fields of Application for Flanged Wheels
Flanged wheels are selected wherever motion must be guided on rails or profiled tracks. In retail, they help shopping trolleys remain secure on travelators and defined paths. In intralogistics and manufacturing, they support automated shuttle systems and rail-guided heavy AGV systems, as well as production and platform trolleys and container construction lines – delivering reliable tracking, repeatable positioning and smooth movement along fixed routes. They are also used on waste disposal equipment when bins or carriers run along floor or overhead guides. For dependable performance, pair the wheel with a suitably rated housing – if needed – and ensure the track interface is correctly matched, as overall durability depends on the complete rolling system.
