Pneumatic Castors
Swivel castor 200 mm
The Alpha swivel castor is a heavy-duty mobility solution engineered for demanding industrial and commercial applications. This swivel castor is fitted with a medium rectangular plate, providing secure and versatile mounting options across a wide range of equipment and systems. The housing is constructed from heavy steel sheet, incorporating two ball races within the swivel bearing assembly to ensure smooth rotational movement and extended operational longevity. The wheel features a 200 mm diameter design with a pneumatic tyre incorporating a line profile tread pattern, mounted on a sheet steel body and supported by a roller bearing for reliable load distribution and smooth rolling performance. The overall height of the castor measures 240 mm, providing appropriate ground clearance for standard industrial applications. The Alpha swivel castor is rated for a static load capacity of 150 kg, whilst maintaining a dynamic load capacity of 75 kg at speeds up to 3 km/h, making it suitable for both stationary and mobile applications. This castor is specifically designed for use in automotive original equipment manufacturing, catering carts and meal delivery systems, container construction, electronic systems and clean-room technology environments, fire fighting technology and fire protection equipment, machine construction, post logistic systems, production and platform trolleys, roll cages, tool cabinets, transport equipment, waste disposal equipment, and work benches, delivering dependable performance across diverse industrial sectors.
Fixed castor 200 mm
The Alpha is a fixed castor designed for industrial applications requiring reliable manoeuvrability and stability. It features a medium rectangular plate fitting that ensures secure attachment to equipment and furniture, providing a robust connection point for integration into various mobile systems. The housing is constructed from heavy steel sheet, delivering exceptional durability and resistance to wear, impact, and environmental stress whilst maintaining structural integrity under demanding operational conditions. The wheel assembly comprises a 200 mm diameter unit mounted on a roller bearing, which facilitates smooth rotation and minimises friction during operation. The tread is manufactured from pneumatic tyre with a line profile, offering superior grip, shock absorption, and load distribution across varied floor surfaces including concrete, tile, and wooden floors. The overall height of the castor measures 240 mm, accommodating standard equipment heights and enabling seamless integration into existing furniture and equipment designs. The static load capacity reaches 150 kg per castor, whilst the dynamic load capacity is rated at 75 kg per castor when operating at speeds up to 3 km/h, ensuring safe and reliable performance during transport and repositioning tasks. This combination of materials, bearing technology, and load specifications makes the Alpha castor suitable for medium to heavy-duty applications in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and commercial environments.
Advantages of Pneumatic Castors
Pneumatic castors are designed to provide exceptional shock absorption and smooth mobility, even on uneven or outdoor surfaces. Their air-filled tyres cushion loads against vibrations and impacts, protecting both the transported goods and the application itself. This makes them an excellent choice for applications where comfort, load safety, and noise reduction are key factors.
TENTE pneumatic castors offer various benefits:
Superior Shock Absorption - Pneumatic castors use air-filled tyres to cushion loads against shocks and vibrations. This is ideal for transporting delicate goods or sensitive equipment over uneven or outdoor surfaces.
Smooth and Quiet Operation - Their soft, flexible tread reduces rolling noise and provides smooth movement, even on rough terrain. This makes pneumatic castors well-suited for noise-sensitive environments and for use on mixed surfaces.
Excellent Traction on Uneven Surfaces - With block or ribbed tread profiles, pneumatic castors maintain reliable grip on outdoor paths, gravel, or irregular flooring. This ensures stable, controlled handling even in challenging environments.
Protection of Floors and Equipment - The soft tyre material helps minimise impact forces, protecting both the transported items and the surfaces they travel over. They also distribute weight over a larger area and apply less pressure to the floor. This prevents damage to floors and reduces wear on handling equipment.
Types of Pneumatic Castors
Pneumatic castors are available in swivel and fixed versions with either line or block-profile treads, each designed to meet specific mobility and surface requirements. Below are the different types of pneumatic castors and their key advantages:
Pneumatic Castors with Block Profile
Block-profile pneumatic castors provide maximum traction and stability on uneven, soft, or outdoor surfaces. Their tread design ensures secure grip when navigating gravel, grass, or rough ground, reducing the risk of slipping under load. They are commonly used on applications like waste disposal equipment, container construction, and more, where safe movement over outdoor or unpaved surfaces is essential. Our Alpha is available with a 260 mm pneumatic wheel with block-profile. Using a steel sheet swivel housing, this castor is capable of handling static loads of up to 300 kg and loads of up to 150 kg at a speed of 4 km/h.
Pneumatic Castors with Line Profile
Line-profile pneumatic castors are optimized for smooth rolling and directional stability. The ribbed tread reduces rolling resistance, making it easier to push or tow equipment over firm outdoor surfaces such as paved paths, asphalt, or concrete. These castors are commonly used in retail logistics and warehousing environments, allowing efficient movement of loads over mixed industrial surfaces. Our Alpha is available with a 200 mm pneumatic wheel with line-profile. Using either a steel sheet swivel or fixed housing, this castor is capable of handling static loads of up to 150 kg and loads of up to 75 kg at a speed of 4 km/h.
Pneumatic Fixed Castors
Fixed pneumatic castors provide straight-line tracking and stability, making them an essential choice for heavy loads or equipment that must travel predictable paths. Paired with swivel castors on the opposite end of the trolley or equipment, they create a reliable combination for guided transport. Our Alpha is available with fixed housing made of steel sheet, featuring a 200 mm pneumatic wheel with line-profile.
Pneumatic Swivel Castors
Swivel pneumatic castors offer excellent manoeuvrability, allowing applications to navigate tight spaces and change direction smoothly, even on uneven terrain. Their air-filled tyres absorb shocks and vibrations, protecting sensitive goods during handling. They are commonly used on roll cages, post logistic systems, and mobile outdoor equipment. Our Alpha is available with a steel sheet swivel housing, featuring either a line-profile or block-profile pneumatic wheel.
Fields of Application for Pneumatic Castors
Pneumatic castors are used wherever shock absorption, noise reduction, and smooth mobility over uneven terrain are required. Their air-filled tyres protect sensitive loads and equipment, making them particularly valuable for industrial and logistics applications. In industrial environments, pneumatic castors are fitted to waste disposal equipment, container construction units, machine construction tools and more, providing reliable transport across outdoor yards and rough flooring. Their vibration-dampening properties also make them suitable for ceramic and glass manufacturers, where delicate goods must be handled with care. In logistics applications, pneumatic castors ensure smooth handling for roll pallets and dollies, roll cages, and post logistic systems, supporting safe and efficient movement of materials across warehouses, loading docks, and outdoor transport areas.
